This is a Rain Bike?

Take a look at my friend's new "rain bike."  This person shall remain nameless, as he or she is an attorney and I'm afraid he or she will sue me if I divulge their name.  It's the most beautiful rain bike I've ever seen.

What do you think?

It's waaaaaaaaaaay too clean to be a rain bike! Similar to an Escalade that never touches a gravel or dirt road. Lemme see it dirty.

white on a rain bike?

um, no... that's no good... it ain't a rain bike. putting fenders on there is sort of like putting snow tires on Spinner rims... I mean sure the white goes well with the label... but if it sees any rain it'll be a dull gray in no time...

I agree, that's the coolest rain bike I have seen in a long time.

Ooh, did anyone notice the pedals match?

Having SRAM on it, makes it a winter commute bike

My Ridley is now my rainbike. Still leaving the Dura Ace on there. Heheheheheh. My new race bike is going to be my Marcroft.

well, good for you. I'll still be riding the old green Redline with 105 8spd components...and of course the fixie. BAM!

I thought you cracked the green redline? or was it the Fuji?
# Posted By Pfeif | 1/9/09 2:06 PM
The Fuji. The Redline was just a little crooked. I built up one of the dropouts with JB Weld and it's better.

The owner of this "rain" bike is going to get hell from me next time I see him.
But while we're on the topic, I'm finally growing up and getting a real racing bike. Soon my 26 pound 1999 Pinarello Surprise with Ultegra will be my "rain bike" and I'll be pretending to go fast on a Veloforma F1R!
In truth, I think when I get the VF it is going to be hard to get me back on the Pino for a while, rain or no.
